Why is einkorn the most unique carbohydrate?
Everyone is always on a search for the latest health fix, whether it’s low carb or plant-based – people want to discover the newest trends in health. Einkorn is a very unique food. In fact, it is not new health food, it is considered the first ever grain but was forgotten in the face of regular wheat. But it is not like regular wheat, nor is it like any other carbohydrate.
If you want to lose weight or improve your digestion, it is likely that you will be advised to avoid eating regular wheat. The rise of the low carb warriors began around 10 years ago and has been going strong ever since. But, it is not the full picture. Carbohydrates are integral to good health, it just depends on which ones you choose.
An example of this is meat. There is a massive difference between processed meat, like the type found at fast food outlets, compared to grass-fed, organic meat. Not only is it more ethically farmed, but it also has a completely different nutrient profile. Processed meat contains hormones and antibiotics and a very limited array of nutrients, whereas grass-fed organic meat contains an abundance of high-quality protein and nutrients.
